Every Petsterpieceportrait is made to order after you approve it, so it isn't sitting in a warehouse waiting to ship. Here's exactly how long each step takes.

Upload one photo and see your portrait in seconds. Nothing is charged and nothing is printed until you pick the version you love.

Order confirmed
You get a confirmation email, and your approved artwork goes to our print studio. Digital downloads skip everything below — the file is emailed immediately.

In production
Every piece is printed, stretched, or framed to order. We email you when production starts. From this point the order can't be changed or cancelled.

On its way
Your portrait ships and we email you a tracking link. We'll email again the day it's due to land.

Where we ship
We currently ship physical prints to addresses in the United States only, including Alaska, Hawaii, and PO boxes. Everything is printed in the US, so nothing crosses a border on the way to you.
Outside the US? The digital download works anywhere in the world — it's a full-resolution, watermark-free file you can take to any local print lab.
What shipping costs
Shipping is passed through at cost — we don't mark it up, and we don't bake a padded “free shipping” rate into the price of the art. Most orders land between $9 and $18 depending on size and weight.
Your exact rate is quoted live at checkout before you pay. Digital downloads ship free, because there's nothing to ship.
Tracking your order
You'll hear from us at every stage: an order confirmation, a note when your portrait enters production, a tracking link the moment it ships, and a message the day it should arrive. Your order page carries the same status and links, so you can check in any time without digging through email.
Can't find an email? Check your spam folder for info@petsterpiece.com, then write to us at that address and we'll resend it.
Worth knowing
- The clock starts when you approve your preview, not when you first upload a photo. Take as long as you like regenerating — it's free.
- Production and transit are counted in business days, so weekends and US public holidays don't count toward either window.
- Order more than one piece and they may arrive in separate parcels, since canvas, framed prints, and cards are made on different equipment.
- Double-check your address at checkout. Made-to-order items sent to a wrong address can't be recovered once they ship.
- November and December run slower across the whole print industry. Order by the first week of December to be comfortable for the holidays.
If something goes wrong
If your portrait arrives damaged, misprinted, or defective, email us a photo within 30 days of delivery and we'll reprint it or refund you — you don't need to send anything back. Lost in transit is on us too. The full details live in our refund policy.
